TORONTO - Anyone who has followed Johnny Gaudreau’s career is keenly aware of the comparisons to his idol, Patrick Kane.
What they don’t know is Kane not only sees the similarities, he sees a few attributes he wished he possessed.
“I guess everyone wants to say we’re similar players because of our size and we’re both guys that produce offence, but he does some things I wish I could do,” said Chicago’s three-time Stanley Cup winner.
“He’s a guy that’s just unbelievable on his edges – a little bit like (Blackhawks teammate Artemi) Panarin in that sense, where he can turn on a dime and lose his defenceman pretty quick.
