The Edmonton Oilers know from experience that you can’t win ‘em all.
They also know from experience that you can’t lose ’em all. You can’t even lose 60% of them for very long before it starts to eat away at your confidence and belief.
So as much as the Oilers are feeling good about their game after a series of strong and inspired losing efforts that could have gone either way, including recent one-goal cliffhangers against Los Angeles and Chicago, they aren’t going to pretend this mood can last forever.
Not if they don’t start turning some of those hard-fought losses into hard-fought wins.
