LOS ANGELES — Anton Lander needs a bounce.
Off his skate, his shin pad, the backside of his pants — anywhere.
Lander needs puck luck like a mailman needs a bag.
Through the first 17 games of the season the Edmonton Oilers centre has yet to collect a point and it is starting to weigh on him as the Oilers conclude a four-game road trip against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
“Definitely, it’s a really frustrating time right now,” Lander said after practice Friday. “I’m trying to work extra every day, trying to do those little extra things in practice every day, work on those shots, work on those tips, work in those tight places, and hopefully, it’ll come soon.
