Rolf Nilsen is making the late Yankees boss George Steinbrenner look like he was a reasonable leader of a sports franchise.
The first-year Flint Firebirds owner axed coach John Gruden and assistant Dave Karpa Wednesday for the second time in the same season, further tarnishing the Ontario Hockey League's decision to allow Nilsen to purchase a major junior club.
The league is not amused.
OHL commissioner David Branch indicated he has been in contact with Flint captain Alex Peters and called the coaching changes and the way they were communicated to the players and the league is "of great concern".
