It wouldn't be truthful to say that the Adirondack hockey community isn't suffering from a bit of a hangover - not having an AHL level team playing at the GFCC this season. That being said, the Thunder are doing their best to get the fans past this reality. The team finished October's schedule at 6-0-0 and atop of the ECHL. They are the first Adirondack team to start a season with six consecutive wins, bettering two Red Wings teams that had five (1989 and 1995).
The team plays an up tempo style and leads the league in power play efficiency at 34.
