PEBBLE BEACH, CALIF. - For Las Vegas and Quebec City, the waiting game continues.
For Seattle, well, better luck next time.
As the NHL’s board of governors opened up their two-day meetings on the wind-swept shores of the Pacific Ocean Monday, commissioner Gary Bettman was steadfast in shooting down any speculation that this round of the expansion process had slowed down in order for Seattle to get its act in order.
“I’ve seen the articles speculating that things have slowed down to wait for somebody else or somewhere else to apply (and) those stories are categorically untrue,” Bettman said.
