Nicklas Grossmann has been a point of contention for nearly anybody who is a fan of the Calgary Flames. He was an individual who was signed merely to get the team as close to the cap as possible for when they used their L.T.I.R. on Ladislav Smid. Despite this being the lone reason for his signing, he still found his way into three games. Three awful, miserable games.
Yesterday the Flames finally used their L.T.I.R. on Smid. Today the Flames finally cut the cord and waived Grossmann. Elliotte Friedman broke the news as he so often does.
