When news broke only a few days ago that the Calgary Flames were sending Nicklas Grossmann down to the Stockton Heat, the reaction was nearly universally positive (There were 78 positive Facebook reactions to one negative - a 98.7% satisfaction rate). It now appears as though the organization may be entirely done with him. Elliotte Friedman broke news today stating the Flames much-maligned defenseman was placed on waivers again today, this time to terminate his contract entirely.
Grossmann (CAL) is on waivers to terminate contract. Must have an overseas offer.

The termination of the contract would be great for Calgary.
