Defenceman Jordan Subban, the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens blueliner P.K. Subban and Boston Bruins goaltending prospect Malcolm Subban, signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Vancouver Canucks Thursday.
Subban, 20, was a fourth-round draft pick of the Canucks in 2013. If he hadn't signed by June 1, he would have been eligible for this summer's draft.
"So thrilled to sign my first NHL contract today!" Subban wrote on Instagram. "Great to officially be apart of the @canucks family!!"
In 63 games with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League, Subban had 25 goal and 27 assists.
