Five members of the Calgary Flames roster are currently in scenic Slovakia vying for the 2019 World Hockey Championship. Through the first four days of competition, these players have experienced some mixed results.
Michael Frolik – Czech Republic
The Czech Republic has won two of their three outings thus far: they beat Sweden and Norway by a combined 12-4 score to assert their dominance over Scandinavia, but suffered a one-sided 3-0 setback to Russia on Monday morning.
Frolik played really well in their two wins and was decent (if unspectacular) in their loss. He had the game-winning goals in the Czech Republic’s two victories and didn’t hit the scoresheet at all in their loss.
