The Calgary Flames announced via Twitter this morning that goalie Karri Ramo will miss the rest of the NHL season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus damage in one of his knees.
Ramo suffered the injury late in the Flames’ road game against the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 11 with the game tied 5-5 in a collision with Sharks forward Joonas Donskoi.
The Flames won that game 6-5 in a shootout, placed Ramo on injured reserve the next day and called up goalie Joni Ortio from AHL Stockton.
