Michael Frolik named to preliminary Czech World Cup of Hockey team

The World Cup of Hockey is returning, and with it, another day to speculate and get excited about roster selections. This morning, Michael Frolik was named to the Czech Republic's preliminary 16 man roster. This will be his 11th time representing his home country, having previously played in three Ivan Hlinka tournaments, four World Juniors, two World Chamionships, two Euro Hockey Tours, one Olympic games, and countless non-tournament appearances.

Frolik is, as always playing a quiet yet effective game for the Flames. He only has 25 points in 51 games thus far, but his defensive contributions have been key in whatever success the Flames have had.
