It took almost half the season, but at long last, Michael Frolik scored his first assist of the season – and the 200th of his career.
Frolik’s been in Flames news a bit lately, and not for good reasons: his agent, Allan Walsh, went public in requesting Frolik receive more ice time. This comes off the heels of Frolik sitting as a healthy scratch for the Flames’ previous outing, a 3-2 overtime loss to the Canucks, just a couple of games in returning after missing a month due to injury.
Against the Sharks, though, it didn’t take Frolik long to prove why he should be dressed: just 1:10 into the game, the reunited 3M line took to the ice, and Frolik was the driving force in getting the puck into the offensive zone.
