According the NHL on NBC's Twitter account, the Calgary Flames have placed Mason Raymond on waivers this afternoon:

The Flames were looking at paying Raymond $3.15 million next season. The move to waivers with a buyout will save the team $1.05 million.
Raymond struggled last season playing in 29 games and registering only 5 points.
This is probably just the first of many moved the Flames will make in the coming days.
