The Mark Messier Leadership Award is awarded annually to an “Individual who leads by positive example through on-ice performance, motivation of team members and a dedication to community activities and charitable cause.”
Giordano, 35, has been the Flames captain since the 2013-14 season and has been a fixture in the Norris Trophy conversation in that span.
