Maple Leafs youth movement starts post-deadline [Video]

TORONTO - In the end, Lou Lamoriello had nothing desirable on the shelf for trade deadline day.

The general manager of the Maple Leafs, a busy man right up until midnight Sunday, let Monday’s 3 p.m. EST deadline elapse without being able to make another deal.

Pending UFA winger P.A. Parenteau was expected to be moved, but he and leading candidate forwards Michael Grabner and Brad Boyes were not unloaded on what turned out to be a quiet afternoon for all 30 teams. It was the first time since 2006 the Leafs hadn’t made a move on the actual deadline day.
