This girl is on fire, all right.
Rookie forward Elana Lovell tallied a hat trick and the Inferno had a couple of hiccups, but ultimately rolled to a 9-5 win over the Toronto Furies at Winsport Saturday night.
Calgary's offense put nine past Christina Kessler and Olivia Ross, but the Inferno also allowed their highest number of shots against so far this season as Delayne Brian surrendered five goals, including three in the third period. Natalie Spooner scored twice, including the game-opening goal 2:22 into the first period.
However, Lovell and the Inferno were able to regroup and take advantages of numerous chances, including three on the power play (which was kept busy throughout the game).
