RED DEER – One minute, Brendan Burke was enjoying the show from his unpaid-for seat at the Centrium.
The next minute he was stopping a puck with his neck.
With his club enjoying a 7-1 lead in the third period, London Knights coach Dale Hunter sent his backup goaltender into the game.
And Burke was called on immediately as Knights centre Owen MacDonald was sent off for high-sticking.
“We kind of laughed in the locker-room,” Burke said. “That’s the second time where I’ve come in and it’s a power play for the other team.
“Every time I go in there, I have to kill a penalty.
