RED DEER -- Max Jones' hustle has vaulted London into the Memorial Cup final.
The rookie power forward, who missed a month-and-a-half of the playoffs with a 12-game suspension, buried a second-period shorthanded goal to rescue a penalty-filled 5-2 Knights win over Rouyn-Noranda Tuesday at Enmax Centrium.
The Knights finished the Cup round-robin with a perfect 3-0 record and will play for their second Canadian Hockey League title in franchise history Sunday afternoon.
The OHL champs have outscored their three opponents a combined 20-5 so far. They have won 16 straight post-season games and are 12-0 on the road this spring.
