The Calgary Flames continue to trim down their roster as the regular season opener approaches. Veteran winger Lauri Korpikoski was released from his PTO by the Flames on Sunday.
Korpikoski only saw the ice in two of the Flames preseason games and according to the Flames he has other offers out there for his services, so the Flames released him.
In other Flames news Linden Vey cleared waivers and will remain with the Calgary Flames.
The Flames open the 2016-17 season on Wednesday night in Edmonton at Rogers Place at 8 PM MT.
