Kelly Kisio is headed for Las Vegas.
And not to play the slots.
“No, I don’t gamble,” Kisio said, surprising no one, after accepting a scouting gig with Sin City’s new NHL franchise.
Kisio spent 18 wildly successful seasons with the Calgary Hitmen and 23 years with the Flames organization.
So he said he debated the move more than once before deciding to join his good friend and former Brandon Wheat Kings boss Kelly McCrimmon with the yet-to-be-named expansion squad.
“There were a lot of sleepless nights deciding whether I wanted to leave after 23 years,” Kisio said.
