The resurgence of netminder Karri Ramo is a big reason for that.
“He’s playing with lots of confidence, and I always say, ‘When your goalie has confidence, it’s like an on-ice psychologist,’ ” said Flames head coach Bob Hartley. “He’s giving you freedom. You know that you can count on him and not only that you can count on him, but you make mistakes, he bails you out and you go right back. In the last 15 to 20 games, I would say, he’s been very, very strong.
