OSHAWA - As Connor McDavid stood helplessly on the blueline at General Motors Centre on Friday night watching the Oshawa Generals celebrate their Ontario Hockey League championship, the frustrated superstar, his title dreams having just been crushed, took a quick peek down at the logo on his white Erie Otters jersey.
Barring a setback, the next meaningful game McDavid will play will feature an blue, white, and orange Edmonton Oilers crest on his chest.
And now, he'll have plenty of hours in the coming days to mull over that inevitability.
