An offensive outburst in the second period of Friday night’s game against the Arizona Coyotes has led to a pair of milestones for Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau. Gaudreau put a wrist shot past Coyotes goaltender Karel Vejmelka after an outlet pass from Nikita Zadorov sent him and Blake Coleman in on an offensive zone rush.
Gaudreau’s goal was his 30th of the season and 200th of his NHL career.
- He’s the Flames’ fourth 30 goal scorer of this season, following Andrew Mangiapane, Elias Lindholm and (earlier in the period) Matthew Tkachuk.
