Kevin Cheveldayoff is eager to get a glimpse of his deep prospect pool in competition against other clubs and he won't have to wait much longer.
As the Winnipeg Jets get set to compete in the 2015 Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C., the general manager and his staff will start to get a better idea of which players might actually be ready to push for a job with the NHL club this fall.
“For a lot of guys, this is where the evaluation process begins in earnest,” Cheveldayoff said during a conversation with the Sun on Wednesday afternoon.
