Saturday's news that Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos will miss the next one-to-three months with a blood clot in his arm really hit home with Postma, the Winnipeg Jets defenceman who endured something similar a couple of seasons ago.
“It's such a severe thing that you don't want to mess with and you don't want it to happen to anybody,” said Postma, who missed more than three months of action during the 2013-14 season after dealing with a blood clot in his leg. “When you say blood clot, I don't think a lot of people realize how dangerous they are.
