Another week, another bit of news regarding one of the Calgary Flames’ top prospects. Forward Jakob Pelletier was named to Hockey Canada’s roster for their upcoming virtual World Junior camp.
Pelletier, 19, was superb last season for the Moncton Wildcats. He was invited to Canada’s World Junior selection camp but suffered a concussion in the final game before the camp and wasn’t able to vie for a spot.
Now the captain of the Val-d’Or Foreurs after an off-season trade, Pelletier is still eligible for the World Juniors and will be among the top contenders to force his way onto the team.
