Jade Iginla picked up an assist as Team Canada defeated Team USA 3–2 on Monday evening to capture gold at the 2022 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship in Madison, WI.
Iginla, 17, recorded the primary helper on Ava Murphy’s goal midway through the second period, which gave Canada a 2–0 lead over its fierce rivals.

Despite allowing two goals in seven seconds late in the middle period, Canada ended up holding on to win 3–2 and capture the gold.
