Three’s company.
Three’s a crowd.
And, in the business of professional puck-stopping, three’s a conundrum.
“The only good thing about three goalies is it’s giving you another subject of conversation,” Flames head coach Bob Hartley told a crowd of reporters after Monday’s practice at the Saddledome.
Indeed, this will give ’em something to talk about.
Tuesday marks the deadline for NHL clubs to submit their 23-man rosters and, barring a trade, the Flames’ list will include three masked men — Karri Ramo, Jonas Hiller and Joni Ortio.
All three are signed to one-way contracts and would need to clear waivers to be assigned to the minors.
