Scott Reid totally outdid himself this year.
Moving forward, the Calgary Inferno coach will have trouble topping the team-building trip to Japan that he pulled together.
A year after organizing an outing to the Garrison Curling Club, Reid took the Inferno overseas to play a pair of games against the Japanese Women’s National Team.
“We were looking at getting a good team-builder bonding (event),” said Reid. “Last year we went curling, so this kind of one ups that one.
“I don’t know if we’ll be able to one up this one ever.”
The opportunity arose due to the fact that Reid served as goalie coach for Team Japan at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
