Tyler Toffoli scored his fifth goal as a member of the Calgary Flames — and his first on the road — early in the third period of Tuesday’s 5–1 win over the Minnesota Wild.
The Flames entered the final 20 minutes of play at Xcel Energy Center up 3–1 over the Wild. With 1:03 still remaining on a tripping minor penalty Wild forward Matt Boldy took late in the second period, Calgary had an early opportunity to potentially put the game out of reach.
The newest (and arguably hottest) Flame struck just 33 seconds into the third period.
