Phil Housley spent 21 seasons with eight teams, seeking job satisfaction and a Stanley Cup.
He found plenty of the former, none of the latter, but those 1,580 regular season and playoff games saw him amass lots of points, plenty of personal rewards and, eventually, a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
That is what Housley and his family will think about when they see his portrait in the Great Hall, not all the moving vans parked in their driveway.
“Definitely,” Housley said. “I always looked at it as another opportunity that somebody (wanted to trade for or sign) me.
