All they want for Christmas is a couple of wins.
The Calgary Hitmen will head into their Christmas break on Sunday night.
And a pair of home wins – Saturday against the Kelowna Rockets (7 p.m., Sportsnet 960 The Fan) and Sunday against the Kootenay Ice (2 p.m.) – would certainly make the holidays more enjoyable.
Hitmen captain Micheal Zipp said this can be a tricky time of the season.
“It’s tough on guys’ mindsets because they’re looking forward to Christmas,” Zipp said. “It’s a happy time of the year.
“But for us, we still have two games and four big points on the line.
