Jake Bean didn’t let a bloody nose slow him down the last time his Calgary Hitmen faced off against the top-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League.
He’s willing to do whatever it takes to help the Hitmen (19-24-9) beat the Regina Pats (37-6-7) when the two teams meet for a rematch on Wednesday (7 p.m., Sportsnet 960 The Fan) at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
“It definitely shouldn’t be hard to get up for that one,” said Bean, who was high-sticked in the face by Regina’s Dawson Leedahl early in the third period of a 6-5 setback on Jan.
