As the clock ticked down on Sunday's third period, there was a sense of deja-vu for the Calgary Hitmen.
A day earlier, on they had given up a third-period lead to the Prince George Cougars and ended up on the losing end of a 5-4 score.
On Sunday, the Hitmen had again entered the final frame with a lead over the Lethbridge Hurricanes, only to have the visitors at the Saddledown claw back and tie things up 5-5.
Fortunately, though, the seconds would tick off the clock and the game would go to overtime, where Matteo Gennaro would complete his hat-trick to give the Hitmen (15-20-4-2) a 6-5 win over the Hurricanes (24-15-3-3).
