Is there a hotter Calgary Flame right now than Mikael Backlund? The Flames centre has been carrying the team as of late and he was front and center against the Bruins Tuesday night. Backlund scored twice and had an assist in the Flames 5-2 victory and now has 15 points in his last 10 games.
Last night he secured the HOTN by chipping the puck off the boards to himself, collecting the feed and out-racing Boston’s David Krejci and beating Tuukka Rask five-hole for a very important goal in the third period.
