While it's been known for some time that the Winnipeg Jets would be hosting an outdoor game, the official announcement for the 2016 Heritage Classic took place on Sunday.
The actual NHL outdoor game against the Edmonton Oilers is scheduled for the afternoon of Oct. 23 at Investors Group Field, with a Legends game taking place on Oct. 22.
