FOXBOROUGH, MASS. - This will be quite a homecoming for Mike Condon.
And, it couldn’t come on a bigger stage.
The Montreal Canadiens goaltender will make the start in his hometown in the Winter Classic against the Boston Bruins at Gillette Stadium Friday at 1 p.m.
That’s not usually Condon’s vantage point at this stadium, home of the NFL’s New England Patriots.
“Usually when I’m at Gillette Stadium, I’m in the last row of the nosebleeds. But it’s nice to be back on the main level there,” said Condon. “So, it’s just nice to get out there and get a feel for the rink.
