HALIFAX - After so many gremlins got in their system the past few years, the Maple Leafs now have one on their side.
The “Gremlin” is right winger Michael Grabner’s nickname — and it didn’t take the newest Leaf long to disrupt the opposition on Friday’s first day of training camp. Rushed here after a trade with the New York Islanders the day before, Grabner had a couple of points in his scrimmage game on a line with Brad Boyes and Frederik Gauthier. And when Team Red Kelly needed a penalty defused against Team Bower, Grabner used his hustle and quick stick to bust it up.
