Kris Russell insists he isn’t hurt that nobody in Calgary has been spotted wearing a Dallas Stars jersey with his name on the back.
Yet.
“There might be one if we make the conference finals,” said the former Calgary Flames defenceman, with a chuckle, almost three weeks after being traded to the Stars.
He’s right, since playoff success for him and his Stars would transform the second-round draft pick the Flames landed for him into a first rounder.
Throw in prospect blue-liner Brett Pollock, and defenceman Jyrki Jokipakka, and the Flames have to be tickled at the return for Russell.
