Former Flame Sergei Makarov inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame

The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2016 on Monday afternoon anointing four individuals with the honour of forever being enshrined as some of hockey's best.

Among the players inducted, was former Calgary Flame Sergei Makarov. Makorov played for four seasons for the Flames after starring as part of the Red Army in the Soviet Union. Makorov would also play three seasons with the San Jose Sharks before ending his career with a few games in Dallas.

Eric Lindros was also inducted into the Hall after playing for 13 seasons, mostly with the Philadelphia Flyers.
