Bill Peters is learning a lesson many men have had to come to terms with in this new, enlightened era: it doesn’t matter how accomplished you are; if you’ve got skeletons in your closet, they will, sooner or later, claw their way out and turn your life upside down.
Peters, who was head coach of the Calgary Flames until he resigned Friday, had led the team to a Pacific Division title – and their best record in 13 years – in 2018-19.
