Former Calgary Flames enforcer Sasha Lakovic died today.

Lakovic was 45 years old and was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer last year. The Vancouver native had a short run with the Flames during the 1996-97 season. He played in 19 games and while he only collected 1 point, he managed to rack up 54 PIM. Lakovic played the remained of his career in the NHL with the NJ Devils.
