Except that this time, the naysayers are not suggesting the wee winger can’t hack it at hockey’s highest level, rather that he — and his Calgary Flames teammates — don’t have a snowball’s chance in you-know-where of scoring an invite to the Stanley Cup playoff tournament this spring.
“For me, this might be the first time ever being on a team that hasn’t made playoffs or hasn’t had a winning record,” Gaudreau revealed after Tuesday’s practice at the Saddledome.
