The Calgary Flames and Adidas have officially unveiled the jersey the club will wear in the 2019 Heritage Classic in Regina. Coming in the team’s 40th season, the new sweater is a modern version of the white retro jersey.

The Flames originally wore a white sweater with red shoulders from 1972-80 in Atlanta and 1980-94 for home games. Heck, the vaunted white pedestal jersey was a re-imagining of the original home sweater. While the team has worn modern versions of the classic retro road sweater (the red one), they haven’t trotted out a white version since 1994.
