The Calgary Flames arrived in town way back in 1980. Given that we’re headed into the 2019-20 season, the club has plans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club’s arrival. The team revealed their anniversary logo via press release on Monday morning.

The crest features retro colouring, tying into the scheme for the Flames’ current third jersey. While nothing’s been officially announced as of yet, it’s probably reasonable to assume given the anniversary season and the upcoming Heritage Classic that retro jerseys will be featured prominently by the Flames this season.
