Flames start off three-game homestand by shutting down Maple Leafs offence [Photos] [Video]

Lately Glen Gulutzan has sounded like a broken record, repeating the potential of the Scotiabank Saddledome.

OK, OK, the concourse, the washrooms, the seats, the dressing rooms, the press box and, in general, the entire experience of a Calgary Flames game leaves something to be desired (especially now compared to Rogers Place a.k.a. the House that McDavid Built but we digress).

For their National Hockey League opponents, playing in Calgary should be a challenge. It should be difficult to play at altitude and it should be challenging to play the Flames on their own turf.

It hasn’t been.
