After waiting for a couple rounds, the Calgary Flames have made their second selection of the 2022 NHL Draft. In the fifth round, at 155th overall, they’ve selected big winger Parker Bell.
Bell’s a September birthday, born just 11 days after the cut-off for the 2021 NHL Draft, so he’s one of the older and more physically mature kids available. He’s listed at 6’4″ and 200 pounds, and he’s a left shot winger.
A product of Campbell River, BC, Bell has played two and a half seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Tri-City Americans. In 2021-22, he had 18 goals and 49 points in 64 games for Tri-City.
