With a few injuries on the back end, the Calgary Flames have summoned defenseman Dalton Prout from his American Hockey League conditioning stint.

Prout was originally assigned to the Stockton Heat back on Nov. 20 and was eligible to stay there for up to two weeks. But with injuries to Michael Stone and Juuso Valimaki reducing the big club’s roster flexibility, it made sense to bring up the player with the most NHL experience to be the extra body as a precaution.
