The Calgary Flames made a roster move on Tuesday in advance of Game 1 against the Dallas Stars. The club has recalled goaltender Adam Werner from the American Hockey League’s Stockton Heat.

Werner turned 25 yesterday. He’s served as backup to Dustin Wolf in Stockton for basically the entire AHL season. He’s being recalled to serve as the third goalie for the Flames, so that they don’t need to burn out Jacob Markstrom with facing too many shots during practices.
